The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram housed a 45 year-old library spread over 2700 square feet of heritage space with more than 50,000 medical books and journals. RG Manudhane Foundation for Excellence has funded a state-of-the art library, now spread over 16,000 square feet, keeping in-tact the heritage structure yet providing facilities like a computer lab, high-speed wifi, RFID systems, self-checkout stations, central air-conditioning and a small enclosed cafeteria, to name a few. The 350 seater library caters to over 600+ graduate and postgraduate students studying on campus and also the teaching staff and resident doctors.
